Here's a video in honor of the day called, Lovers Lazzo on ZOOM!

A "lazzo" is a comedic routine, often featuring a good deal of improvisation performed by commedia dell'Arte performers. This particular lazzo is adapted for and inspired by the pandemic, performed and recorded on Zoom, just as much of life has been conducted on these sorts of virtual platforms since the pandemic began.

The actors/writers/performers/"lovers" are: ISABELLA - Ilana Gustafson LEANDRO - Jon Monastero Ilana and Jon helped co-found the Los Angeles based commedia dell'Arte troupe, Studio Zanni. The other founding troupe members (not featured in this video) are Juliette Angeli and John Achorn - John Achorn studied with Carlo Mazzone-Clementi in the 70s and 80s and helped found Dell'Arte International in Blue Lake, CA.
